Importance of Emotional Intelligence(EI) for Students

Being a student is not easy, because along with studies, you have to be maintaining good social relationships with people around you (these effect mental state) such as your response/behavior towards friends, teachers, parents while controlling your own emotions which differ from situation to situation because mental health is what necessary for anyone to be in the right mind to take any decisions to complete work ( which includes studies or any other works).
Your behavior, surroundings, and people around you play a major role in what you become, how you become. Even though it's not 100 percent of times your choice about the people, the environment around you, EI can help students/people to a certain level to understand and respond accordingly which would help them deal with most things which bother them, so they can feel less depressed, disturbed about the situations happening around them with any people.
In some countries, many students have fewer facilities available to empower them to explore their interests, passion or having parents or environment that doesn't help or allow them to improve and because of the typical mindset of people, mental health is still a taboo where people do not understand or accept the fact that people of any age can be depressed, sad, burdened, felt pressured, be angry, have their own will, have feelings. At least to deal with such things, to keep your mental health up, to drive towards improving your own life against the odd situations you face, Emotional Intelligence is helpful. Many studies going on in the world to understand better about students to improve the settings where they live in, EDM (Educational Data Mining) is one such among them.
