India's GDP Down! What or Who is the Cause?

As its economy looms, many Indians fear the worst in the pandemic year. Manufacturing shrinks to -39.3%, mining shrinks to -23.3, construction shrinks to -50%. To call the worst, Indians' overall first quarter of the financial year 2020-21 GDP has contracted to -23.9%. There have been contractions. A lot of assumptions and critics have also been made.


How has India's low GDP growth started?


It has been the worst in 24 years as India's record its lowest drastic GDP fall recorded. India's GDP growth has been on a decline even before the pandemic. The downfall of India's first-quarter announced in June was heavily caused by the coronavirus pandemic. Primarily from the subsequent lockdown in the country; starting from the last week of March. However, some have cast their grave doubt on the ability of Narendra Modi government — managing the economy. India in 2019, recorded a low growth in manufacturing and construction. Currently, agriculture manufactures, construction, and automobiles have been critically worsened. Considering all factors, the pandemic is the rightful cause of this catastrophe.
