Let's rethink meditation

In this period of lockdown you might be searching for a lot of ways of self improvement and most probably the thing that you might have encountered most in all self- help book is meditation .
Yes,meditation .The first thought that comes to the mind when you think of meditation is something religious or spiritual done by a Saint like person but that is not always true. Meditation is not that difficult as perceived by many .It is morever a way of life . It means living life full fledgedly and focusing on the present moment ,forgiving the regrets of the past and forgetting the worries about the future .It could be done by any person irrespective of caste ,religion, creed or gender. It does not mean forcing or punishing your mind if it wanders .It is just getting the most from the present moment
I recently read about an interesting kind of meditation i.e Tea meditation by Matt .He simply wakes up in the morning, make tea and get himself completely mindful and involved in the process of making tea . He enjoys the whole process of making tea and then enjoy its every sip wholeheartedly.
Meditation has been scientifically proven to reduce anxiety and stress.
It reduces density of brain tissue associated with worrying and anxiety.
In its advanced form it helps connect to our higher self and find the purpose of life.
All in all it is a life-changing practice.
