"Our future history is waiting to be written by itself with today's youngsters".

Nelson Mandela who fought against racism in Africa says that, "Education is the most powerful weapon which you can use to change the world".

The above quotes emphasize the need for better education. We have a lot of human and natural resources. Unfortunately we don't have required skill compared to other developed countries. I think the problem is in our education system. In my point of view the development of our nation requires a change in the education system.

At this time I would like to recall a few lines from the tamil poet of Mahakavi Bharathiyar.

"Run and play papa- you

unable to rest, papa.........

..............................................

study after waking up in the morning-then

good song that gives kindness

play throughout the evening"

But what about today's students?

This is how Bharathiyar would have sung if he had lived in the 21st century.

"Study after waking up in the morning- then

Go to school and study

study throughout the evening - in tuition

study when you get back to the home

study study also in the night

study study until you score 100 marks

otherwise you will get the slap only........"

This is the situation of most students in SSLC & 12th grades today. These lines are something to think about even if they make you laugh. Students are not money or mark makers, those who are the capable of to bringing about the greatest change in this society. We are in the position of giving education to the students with joy and entertainment.

But our new educational policy says that, In school education the policy focuses on overhauling the curriculum , "easier" Board exams, a reduction in the syllabus to retain "Core essentials" and thrust on "Experiential learning & Critical thinking. I hope the new educational policy will help our nation move on the path of development. This policy will give us new changes and also lead to new innovation.

HAPPY LEARNING!!!!
