To start up "Without no standards there is no improvement"as said by Taiichi Ohno. So the world is full of standards from the shoes we wear to the food we eat . Being a member of the millennium generation means from your last Instagram post to your current diet plan everything must be on trend. Now you may have noticed I specifically mentioned the word brown in my title . That's because I'm proud to say my skin is brown . It's sad to see girls of my age and younger than me run after fairness creams and foundations. Now don't take me up as a makeup hater I like makeup because it makes me feel happy I don't wear it because it makes my skin lighter . There is a clear difference here between happiness and need . And there is no need for my skin to be lighter . So apart from this sometimes it just feels we do a lot of things just because our generation has set standards for them . We all wanna look "cool". But do we really need to follow such standards? If I don't have a social media account I'll be judged as lame or boring . If I don't support drinking and taking drugs I'll be labeled as a wimp or a typical Indian girl . And if I speak out about all this I'll be labeled arrogant . Standards lead to labels . The society is us . And we need to stop pressuring everyone to follow these standards. Everyone is unique in their own way . You can't have freedom of expression when it's already laid out how your supposed to express yourself. So as Kim Namjoon has said "None of us are born ugly we just live in a judgemental society". So everyone let's be remembered as the generation that created unique beings instead of the generation that judged them .
