Exams During A Pandemic

So recently, after never-ending court proceedings and hearings, the decision was out and it was not in favor of the student though it was the most illogical thing to do.
The verdict said that “Final year students cannot be graduated without a degree” this basically meant that no matter what happens, it may even be a global pandemic, but the education business has to be priorities before the health and safety of the youth of this nation.
As a final year engineering student myself, I went through this atypical experience of writing an exam first-hand. A degree certificate that only takes you to the gates of the corporate world, a degree certificate that means so little without your hard work, a degree certificated that accounts for mere crumbs without your dedication but what is the point of such a degree certificate if you have to put your life on the whistle?
Each one of us has written some exam or the other and clearly understands the depths of the stress, anxiety, tension, and frustration one feels and to top it all off, during a global pandemic all these hosts of factors and many more unnamed ones are heightened to preposterous degrees and through all those rollercoaster of emotions, was conducting these exams so crucial and worth it?
A small experience of my own, at 12 in the noon, compelled to wear mask, visors,
gloves and made to stand under the blazing heat of the sun, following all the rules, they checked my temperature an hour before the exam and asked me to get out of the line and sit down because supposedly by temperature was not normal. I mean it was 31°C outside, I was wearing a visor, mask, and gloves and reasonably, I was panicking but with the scenario around me, made it so much worse than it gave me a headache and I even failed to perform and do my best writing the exam.
And even now I just wonder if it was worth it to anyone implicitly or explicitly to be so unreasonable and conduct an exam during a pandemic?
