Houses are built with bricks but homes are made with hearts.
A single line story of the Christopher Nolan's movie - Interstellar (2014). The film takes place in near future, with Earth in grip of the Blight, an airborne disease that causes crops to turn grey.
Cooper, a widowed astronaut, farmer and an aeronautical engineer lives with his father Donald, a daughter Murph and a son Tom.
The little girl Murph, experiences a strange shuffling from her bookcase, mistakenly taken them as ghosts and informs her dad about this. He thinks it as a Morse code and traces it out as a call for him to a certain co-ordinates, surprising of NASA's research center.
There, he is assigned for a mission named "Lazarus Project", which aims to save this species on the Earth, since it has been already in the verge of death. In addition to that, it carries a sample of artificially grown cells of the existing species on Earth to a hospitable planet.

The head of the mission, Professor Brand has already sent some of the astronauts to the counterpart of the galaxy to check for the availability of a planet that supports the life as on Earth.
Now as a cat on the wall, Coop can't decide his situation, because of his fatherhood. So, the Professor Brand makes a promise that he would have solved the equation, which takes the human to the other galaxies living planet at the time of Coop's return.
Whether he solved the equation? Coop find out the planet? What are those mentioned ghost? is the rest of the story.
Let's change our perspective towards this film in the path of science.
At the time of the journey to the space, Coop's little girl Murph decoded the Morse code, as "STAY" and won't let her dad to leave. That was the most touching part of the story.
Nolan has handled a sci-fi poetic plot. Here's one of them, "Do not go gentle into that good night ; Old age should burn and rave at close of day. Rage, rage against the dying of the light." , describing the end of the world and asking to save the species.
We can describe Nolan as a puzzle, which we continuously trying to make out through out the movie. To add up flavors to that he left out some beautiful hints here and there at every scenes.
Finally, you will be filled with a relativistic feel accepting the truth that, "Love is the one thing that transcends time and space."
