Who is the 46th POTUS (President of The United States)? Have got to know him better? I mean the man that will rule one of the greatest countries in the world soon? Sure, Joe Biden's recent win against Donald Trump has filled a lot of opinions and conclusions in the air. Apart from becoming the POTUS, what other Joe Biden story is worth hearing. It's his family life.

Joe first got engage to Neilia Hunter his first wife. Neillia and his one-year-old daughter both died in a car accident in 1972. Joe's two sons Beau and Hunter were also involved in the accident but they both survived.
Three years later, Jill Jacobs was introduced to Joe through his brother. Jill Jacobs, a teacher, had previously married a former college football player, Bill Stevenson.
During Jill's teaching days at college, Joe was already a senator then.
On one Saturday in 1975, Jill's phone rang out of the blue.
Joe's brother had given Joe the idea to reach out to Jill. When Jill picked the call, it was Joe.
"How did you get this number?" were the first words she spoke to Joe. However, before the call, Jill was getting ready to go on another date.
"Do you think you could break your date?" Joe asked her (Jill).
And she did. "I called and told the guy I had a friend in from out of town, and went out with Joe."
"I had been dating guys in jeans and clogs and T-shirts, he came to the door and he had a sport coat and loafers, and I thought: 'God, this is never going to work, not in a million years."
"He was nine years older than I am! But we went out to see A Man and a Woman at the movie theatre in Philadelphia, and we really hit it off," Jill spoke about her first date with Joe.
Joe proposed to Jill five times before her acceptance in the fifth attempt.
"I couldn't have them [Joe's children] lose another mother. So I had to be 100% sure," she explained.
Jill was actually in hesitant to accept the proposals at first due to how attached she had become to Joe's two sons. "I loved the boys so much. I had to be sure that it had to be forever." The little known was that the kids also loved Jill too. One morning, the then young siblings told Joe, "Dad, we think it's time we married Jill."

Finally, The ultimate proposal came, and Jill accepted. Joe and Jill Biden married on June 17, 1977, at the United Nations Chapel in New York City. By 1981, they had their daughter, Ashley Biden, and the family was "complete."

Joe was so upset after his first wife died. So upset that he was on the verge of dropping out of his political career. Luckily he met Jill. He was a hard working man for the sake of people. Hope he does better for the US and India. Great post! 🤓
