"Manisha Valmiki was gruesomely raped, tongue cut, spinal cord broken by 4 rapists who were upper-caste men"
What more dehumanizing, heartless, and brutish than this?
It is with a breaking heart I write this. I feel saddened by this news. It breaks me from the inside, from my bones to the flesh, further hurting my emotions.

Rape In India Keeps Occurring Like It Nothing

First of, the issue of rape isn't a new thing in India. And we all know that. It keeps happening in India time over time. How long will this go on? How long will women be extorted, raped, and murdered?
For earthsake, if the Indian government don't know, women are losing their lives to rape — like it a norm. The numbers of women raped (in India) are uncountable. Yesterday it was Nirbhaya and Disha, today it's Manisha. Will it ever stop? When will women's names stop popping up with rape on social media and their bodies lie beneath 6 feet?
India Prosecution System Gives More Room For Raping
Truth be told, the judges and police act like they don't want rape to stop. Because, crimes against women are often taken less seriously by the judges and the police.
Take a look at countries like Iran, UAE, China; they all have death penalty on rape. But in India, It just compromises, trial, then bribery. No action at all. No setting of examples to the public.
Also, investigation required to be thoroughly done lacks sensitivity and diligence on the part of the police.
These people of the law act like it not necessary to put these perpetrators "on the noose" or "under the guillotine."
These people of the law permit perpetrators to go with little or no punishment. Manisha's rapists who are upper caste are yet to be punished up till now. Even after they brutally raped Manisha — which ultimately led to her death.
Fact On Women Been Raped And Killed In India

India is one of the worst places to be in the world as a woman. Every 15 minutes one woman reports rape in India according to the government data. And according to Thomson Reuters foundation annual poll, India is the most dangerous place for women — the number of women raped and killed proves this.
Will rape on a spree in India ever end? ...even as rape victim lose their lives? Will the Government put all hands on deck after lives been lost? Will women ever be able to walk freely on the streets of New Delhi or UP with their minds at rest?
I hope this ends soon.
