I've once read a book called Living forward.
Here's a short description of it!
“Living Forward is a brilliant and motivating resource that will equip you to stop sleepwalking through life and intentionally pursue the plan God has for you. From college students to retirees… this book is the life-planning resource you've been looking for!"
So what's very special about this book? The author says thinking about death is essential if you want to live well. That’s true, right!?
If you are gonna die soon how will you treat your life? How will you live each of your last moments? With care! We dare not to waste our precious little time! We'll make a bucket list and try everything we wanna do before we go to the grave.
We'll regret things which we haven't done taking life lightly.
Step 1: We should all have a LIFE PLAN! Ask yourself is, What will my legacy be? What do you want others to remember at your funeral? Your parents, your siblings, your friends and your relatives all will be there! What moments do you like them to share?
Write it down! "I want my dad to remember me for…" "I want my friend to remember me for…"
Like this create statements of your legacy that you want others to remember you for!
Step 2: Life account! Your Life Accounts are the various components that make up your life, from your hobbies to your most valued relationships.
Write all the things that come to your mind and sort out the most important 5–12 things from them!
Prioritize them! Utilize your Saturdays and Sundays to achieve these goals!
You have to give points to your work, family, health and finance!
Somewhat like this!
1. Work - 8/10 2. Family-5/10 3. Health 7/10 4. Finance- 8/10
Focus on your areas of life where your attention is much needed. In the above case, you got to give your family some time to make that relationship strong!
Step 3: The map - Commitment to action
How will I get from where I am to the ending that I’ve imagined? Look at your accounts and think about how should I achieve my personal and professional goals! Make a roadmap! Write how you would feel when you achieve it! If one of your life account is to be a model, then write how you would feel when you achieve it! It all gives you a boost!
Jim Carrey before making a break in his career wrote himself in 1985 a $10 million check for "acting services rendered", dating it 10 years in the future (Thanksgiving 1995) and kept it in his wallet. And then, just before Thanksgiving 1995, he found out he was going to make ten million dollars for Dumb and Dumber. How did he do it? Jim used the law of attraction. So write it down and make your dreams come true!
**Block out your full day and write these plans because it's literally your life journey map which you don't want to mess up! You can always make changes add and delete things in your guide! But first, you have to start writing them!
Don’t aim for perfection; this document is just for you.
Map things out your hour to hour every day and don't fall into things you don't want in life.
Last but not least, Your Life Plan will only serve you if you put it into action.
Hope this helps! Good luck to you!
