National Cadet Corps (NCC) is the voluminous uniformed youth consortium with its maxim as "Unity and discipline". NCC in India was formed by the National Cadet Corps Act of 1948 with equally provided opportunities for both the boys and girls division. The NCC is also called the second line of defense. It has 17 directorates spread all over India with a total of 814 units in the army, air, and naval. This is some prerequisite you need to know if you were wondering what NCC is.

Life's success isn't solely dependent on intelligence, skills, and talents. Every being strives towards becoming an epitome of success in his/her respective field. Nevertheless, the significant facet in this drive is the determinant shot that a fellow puts in. You should not be one among the crowd but should hit the rocks differently so that people can notice you and know who you are. Finding what you are, is a tiresome job and one cannot constantly be determined unless there is some motivation. And in NCC, one can find some minds travailing so hard to carefully make huge decisions for us and one can see the word "motivation" taking shape into a person called "Seniors".

There would be times when your senior go harsh on you, but one always knows no cadet betrays one of their own. A junior always knows this and it keeps up the relationship between them pristine. You find it crazy? Wouldn't you agree in the long run if your parents do the same, and understand that they did it to mold you to get on the right track and help you achieve your brightest colors? NCC is a family, well, a different one where you can share your emotions and thoughts that you would hesitate to share even with your parents. It will always be "Don't you worry, I've got your back, pal" and ensure that no one stands alone. Because, in unity, there is strength. One line short, they follow a few of the never-spoken rules of the Laws of South-side Serpents from the Riverdale series.

Life in NCC will make you realize that we can also be less materialistic and love nature and people for the way they are. NCC gives us the confidence to try out new things and interact with others. It helps us to know ourselves completely and makes us stick to the values and help you to be who you truly are. It makes you give your fullest and make you understand your potential mentally and physically. And by NCC, I mean, the seniors. One always gets inspired by the seniors who guide all the way long and be a part even after their terms with the NCC is over. It's like an oath made for life like the one made by officers at Night's watch in the Game of Thrones series. They are the fire that burns against the cold, the light that brings the dawn, the horn that wakes the sleepers, the shield that guards the realms of their juniors.
