NEW AGE INVENTION- INTERNET

Who invented the telephone? The answer we all know is Alexander Graham Bell. Who invented the cell phone? This answer does not come readily to our minds. So also, is the case with almost all the latest inventions, be it a computer mouse, digital camera, or laptop. We get a lot information about pioneering inventions like the telephone or the electric bulb, even in our school textbooks.

But the interesting stories behind the unique inventions of the last fifty years are not so well known, even though these amazing inventions have revolutionized our daily life and have, in fact, changed our world in too many ways. Internet too falls under this list. There is no doubt that the greatest among all recent inventions is the Internet. The Internet is the global system of interconnected complex networks that link billions of devices worldwide. It first came into existence in 1969, when the US military began to build the computer network that linked computers at different locations. It was called ARPANET, and later, the network was opened to all users and renamed as the Internet. Internet has given a people a new way to communicate. Secondly, it is a sort of modern library. The Internet has also had an impact on the economy, and even in the way people shop! It has changed the way people think and feel about each other, and the world around them.
