WHAT IF THE EARTH STOPPED SPINNING?

Would we all end up with a disaster? It will be an adventurous tour if we experience it.Let us dive into the situation. If the earth stops spinning, things will move in a tangential direction with the speed of earth's rotation. Earth rotates with 1670km/hr at the equator. Everything will be thrown out of earth with the same speed.Don't get much happier that we will reach space without a rocket!!.This speed is too high but not sufficient for us to land in space. We will be rolling, tumbling, and skidding along the ground until we hit something more solid than us.

The day side of the earth would be immensely hotter while the night side would get immensely colder.Although the earth stops spinning, the atmosphere will continue to move with the same speed and the soil will get eroded. The centrifugal force that pulls the earth outwards at the equator is the reason for the spherical shape of earth. When earth stops spinning, the shape would deform into a round since the ocean water gets distributed in equal proportion, and south and north poles will disappear. At equator, the water from ocean will form high waves and will cause Tsunami at the equatorial region. Buildings and other infrastructures will get destroyed in seconds. The huge swaths of land would be scrubbled clean by the walls of ocean water. And if the Earth starts spinning again, everything will move back to ocean and the Earth regains its elliptical texture.

Next to that, volcanism would be an absolute disaster because, a lot of awful hot melty rocks is sitting just below the surface, and is keep on trying to spin when the rest of the planet doesn't.And this would be a kind of massive mess of places like yellow stone.

It is said that the moon used to spin faster and it became tidally locked within the earth now.Co incidentally, it is the same fate that affects every single large moon orbitting a planet! The earth's gravity grabbed onto the tidal, bulges and slows down the moon's rotation.

In short, if the Earth stops spinning, nothing good would come out of it. Magnetic forces would go wild as the Earth's magnetic pole will try to keep up with the spinning core in a stopped crust and, the static electricity would probably electrocute every moving thing on the surface as if God's own feet were shuffling across acetate shag carpet in the deal of winter.ZAP!!
